Padstow boasts several award winning restaurants, including Rick Stein’s famous Seafood Restaurants, with good local pubs, shops and all amenities.
Padstow
has much to offer at any time of the year and is within easy walking distance of
several sandy beaches, coves and
coastal walks. The
Camel Trail runs
from the harbour and bicycles for all ages can be hired to enjoy the spectacular
views of the River Camel, coastline and surrounding countryside.
Boat
trips and a ferry to the sailing resort of
Rock are available or you can just
while away the hours catching your own crab for tea from the harbour walls –
crablines provided! Attractions we can recommend for a day out include the amazing Eden Project (15 miles), The Lost Gardens of Heligan (20 miles) or the beautiful country house Prideaux Place (at the top end of Padstow), with – Lanhydrock, Trelissick and Pencarrow all nearby.
Castles
such as St. Michaels Mount and the spectacular
Tintagel are both within easy
driving distance. And there are
many coastal towns and ports worth visiting –
St. Ives and the Tate Gallery,
Charlestown,
St. Mawes,
Port Isaac – to name just a few.
For the younger visitors surfing and watersports are available at many fantastic nearby beaches along with the National Lobster Hatchery on Padstow Harbour
